Dock Supervisors
The role of Dock Supervisor is to coordinate the logistics
process of automotive parts movement through a high volume
cross-dock, sequencing center, or freight consolidation
operation. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
Supervision of dock workers and drivers; computer input; serve
as a liaison between automotive plant and corporate management;
routing and coordination of scheduled deliveries; management of
inventory in coordination of JIT (Just-In-Time) procedures.
Minimum Skills:
Strong leadership abilities to direct a team of
subordinates. Strong communication skills. BA/BS all majors, in
particular Management or Logistics degree and/or industry
experience a plus.
Ideal Skills:
BA/BS Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or
related business degree. Excellent communications skills.
Supervisory experience. Ability to multi-task in a fast paced
environment.
