Dispatchers
Direct Drivers on the day-to-day operation of pickup and
delivery responsibilities, planning their route throughout the
day. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Utilize independent judgment on assembling loads and
assigning drivers
- Develop working knowledge of Department of
Transportation regulations and ensure that drivers adhere to
those regulations
- Update various websites of customers we service of the
status of their freight
- generate reports that reflect the status of freight
movement as the day progresses.
Minimum Skills:
Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability
to work as part of a team. Leadership abilities to be utilized
to motivate and direct drivers. BA/BS all majors, in particular
Management or Logistics degree and/or industry experience a
plus.
Ideal Skills:
BA/BS Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or related
business degree. Strong problem solving skills, ability to
function in face paced environment, excellent communications
skills.
